Miss Messages from the Other SideTM
Saturday, May 17th!
Join
Dr. Lauren as she presents her Messages from the Other SideTM
program on Saturday, May 17th in Hamilton, NJ. Heartfelt and
healing, it's an event you won't want to miss.
The program begins at 10 am and continues until noon; a video/CD
signing follows the event. To be held at AMC Theatre, off I-295
and easily accessible by train from NYC and Philadelphia.
A limited number of tickets will be sold to enhance your chances
of receiving a message from someone who's passed on.
Dr.
Lauren's Travel Schedule: Come see me in person!
I
love to teach, to help others develop self-understanding through
deepening their connections to their intuitive nature.
I'm traveling to present workshops in a number of cities this
spring: Sacramento, Seattle, Minneapolis, Washington DC, and
Rochester. If you can, join me!
Under featured links in this newsletter, you'll find some of the
classes I'll be teaching. (You may have to use the search features
of the websites from the sponsoring organizations to get the full
details.) Come meet me in person and share in the journey toward
self awareness through intuitive awareness!
Kuan
Yin: The Goddess of Compassion
Kuan
Yin: The Goddess of Compassion
Years ago, when I lived in Japan, I became familiar with the
female deity Kannon, better known as Kuan Yin, the goddess of
compassion in the Buddist tradition (who, interestingly, was
initially portrayed as a male).
As we hover on the brink of war between the U.S. and Iraq,
intending the highest and best outcome for all concerned from a
place of compassion is something I hope we can all aspire to.
"With mercy and compassion, Beloved Kuan Yin
Melt away this anger, and let me love again
Melt away this fear, and let us love again...
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasu Devaya"
(First four lines from the song, Prayer for the Warriors by
Sophia, on the CD, Prayer: A Multi-Cultural Journey of Spirit)
Stand strong. Use your power, your prayer. Stand with
compassion--with passion--for a better way. Intend it.
Wise Words & Sage Sayings about KINDNESS
Here
are some powerful quotations on kindness--something we can choose
to offer this world, a richness we can share, no matter our state
of material wealth or the state of world affairs over which we
have no direct control. Kindness seems to be in short supply all
too often.
Do your part to change the world today--be kind.
Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.--Plato
You have not lived a perfect day, even though you have earned your
money, unless you have done something for someone who will never
be able to repay you.--Ruth Smeltzer
The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless,
unremembered acts of kindness and of love.--William Wordsworth
Kindness is never wasted. If it has no effect on the recipient, at
least it benefits the bestower.--S. H. Simmons
The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions--the little,
soon-forgotten charities of a kiss or smile, a kind look or
heartfelt compliment.--Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Have a heart that never hardens, and a temper that never tires,
and a touch that never hurts.--Charles Dickens
Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are
truly endless.--Mother Teresa
The
Power of MESSAGES
While
traveling and conducting seminars, I'm always struck by the
popularity and power of message mediumship--just one form this
work takes.
What makes a message from the other side so powerful?
First, it's the joyful connection that often helps a person here
trust their own awareness. In fact, most people have had
connections with passed-on loved ones--they just don't know it.
Messages point that out.
Second, they give us a doorway to what is in store for us one
day--the ability to reach back and say, Hey, I'm still here, still
me, still concerned about and sending love to you.
And third, they open us up to so much more. A message often
catapults a person into a new awareness, documenting things that
often couldn't be known by ordinary means. If that's the case,
what ELSE can we know about that can help us learn and grow?
Curiosity about "how did she do that?" leads to new
personal discoveries.
And that's what mediumship is really all about: launching you into
your OWN journey to self-discovery.
Enjoy the ride!
NEW
BOOK! Lily Dale: The Town that Talks to the Dead
Author
Christine Wicker is enjoying the launch of her newest book, Lily
Dale: The True Story of the Town That Talks to the Dead. I'm
excited that it's selling well--as it should be. It's a well-told
tale by an award-winning journalist.
While I'm featured in Lily Dale (the book) that's not why I like
this book so much. It's because of the integrity of the author,
whose initial skepticsim slowly shifts as she experiences the
quirky charm and mystical energy that is Lily Dale.
She'll be featured in O! the Oprah Magazine & First for Women.
Watch for me to appear occasionally with Christine as she's on
radio promoting her book.
Here's a fun side note: my able assistant Rachel got her own
message about which pages mentioned me before she opened the book
the first time; check out pages 89 and 185-186; 86 is the number
she 'heard'...and those are the pages she found that mention me.
Being psychic must be catching!
LILY
DALE--The Town
Many
of you know I'm a registered medium in the western New York town
of Lily Dale, where I spend my summers living & working in a
community of mediums (which my husband Ed has nicknamed
"psychic summer camp")
If you're interested in learning more about this interesting
place, which is an hour's drive from Buffalo, 3 from Cleveland and
Pittsburgh after reading Christine's book, click below.
They're not high-tech, so if you'd like a copy of the program
guide for 2003--it's not online--call the office at 716-595-8721
and tell 'em Lauren sent you.

In Your Psychic Kids Stories
Since
I was a psychic kid--and still am at heart, I think--I'm very
interested in collecting, compiling and researching stories of
psychic kids.
If you have one, know one, or were one, I hope you'll share your
psychic kids stories with me. I'm passionate about making the
world a kinder place for kids who understand things differently,
and it's only through learning what you've been through that I can
craft the most useful teaching materials.
Please help me out by sending in your recollections. I'll feature
them in this newsletter from time to time. All identities will be
protected.
