"The really valuable thing is intuition."  --Albert Einstein

Welcome to my June newsletter (which was supposed to be the May newsletter but I'm not a control freak anymore). Feel free to pass this newsletter along to others whom you feel may be interested. I hope your summer adventures are wonderful fun.

Since I'll be at Lily Dale, New York working for the summer months, I hope some of you will be able to pop in to say hi as part of those adventures. It's an intriguing place, which my husband calls "psychic summer camp." This year well-known medium James Van Praagh will be a guest speaker, as will Dr. Wayne Dyer, among hundreds of others. James and I were both presenters on The Intuition Cruise a few years back and he's just published his third book. For more information on Lily Dale, visit the volunteer-run website.

MEDIA NOTE: I'll be appearing on The Doug Stephan Show during The Paranormal Hour on Monday, June 5 from 5 to 6 a.m. EDT. Doug's program is heard on over 300 radio stations via RadioAmerica and can also be picked up via the web at http://www.DougStephan.com  if you're up that early.

WEB COLUMN UPDATE: My web column is now weekly! Be sure to stop by now and then and submit a question or just read the weekly posts. It's a free service.

5. Wise Words & Sage Sayings

1. USING YOUR INTUITION AT WORK

Every day in your work life, you're probably faced with innumerable options regarding decisions you need to make. Here's a simple way to train your intuition. Keep a log of your progress, and your successes. (And if you're in New Jersey or eastern Pennsylvania, check out my in-person class called Intuition at Work, which I'll be teaching at four locations in June and September at The Learning Studio. Details are at my website http://www.drlauren.com  or via http://www.learningstudio.com

Close your eyes, and shut off distracting devices like pagers and cell phones. Take a few deep breaths as you imagine a computer screen in your mind. See the question you have about any given situation typing itself on the screen. Then wait a few minutes and see what answer appears. Jot down all the information you receive, including the words that appear, the color they appear, the typeface, and any other details. Do this exercise at least once daily, and as you get more experience, you may find you can ask more than one question per session. Give it a try-hey, it's easy and inexpensive! Don't forget to email me at Lauren@drlauren.com

2. DO IT ANYWAY

Do It Anyway -- By Mother Teresa ~~~

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, People may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

3. THE DALAI LAMA'S WISDOM

The Dalai Lama offers so much wisdom that I'm honored to pass this on to you. What great advice for living, though I particularly like the advice on cooking. (Reminds me of that old Zen saying...first enlightenment, then the dishes.)

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

2. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

3. Follow the three Rs: Respect for self, Respect for others and Responsibility for all your actions.

4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

6. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

7. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

8. Spend some time alone every day.

9. Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.

10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

11. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.

14. Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.

15. Be gentle with the earth.

16. Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.

17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

19. Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

I also know that dreams really do come true and you have my Best Wishes and my best efforts in those.

Regards,

Dalai Lama

5. WISE WORDS & SAGE SAYINGS

This is a wonderful thought to hold in those frazzled moments we all have:

Let this day be a looking glass into all that has been before, and a kaleidoscope of wonder into all the beauty that is yet to be. -David Samuels
